Photography is a powerful mode to make a statement.

In the international Congo/ Women exhibition, photojournalists Lynsey Addario, Marcus Bleasdale, Daffo Haviv, and James Nachtwey papers the incessant force visited on women and tike in the Democratic Democracy of Congo. The photoes on big cloth panels are accompanied by essays that farther instance the day-after-day world of assault and force of Congolese women.

The exhibition, produced by Graphicses , was planned to raise media cognisance and marshal support for these women and minors in the Zaire, with the ultimate end of terminating these ill-usages and force. The exhibition exemplify the courageousness and resiliency of these somebodies who hold abided and lived multitudinous enactments of viciousness.

The Congo/Women undertaking will open at Columbia College Chicago, 1006 Sec MI Avenue from Feb 5 through St valentine's day, 2009. The event is free and unfastened to the world.
